Charleston S.C. – Twice a year, The Harbor Entrepreneur Center hosts Entrepreneur Studio, an initiative of the organization that features a high‐caliber, trailblazing entrepreneur in an exclusive interview that reveals their journey as an entrepreneur. Dick Elliott, Founder of Maverick Southern Kitchens and civic leader, is next to take to stage on March 1st at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Dick Elliott is extensively involved with the community and active in civic and charitable efforts throughout the region. He helped raise over a million dollars while serving as Chairman of The Board at the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, served on the Board of the College of Charleston Foundation, as well as the board of directors for the MUSC Foundation. More recently, Elliott sold Maverick Southern Kitchens (the restaurant group that includes SNOB, High Cotton, Old Village Post House, and Charleston Cooks!) to Halls Management Group.
Averaging 200 attendees per event, those in the crowd get to hear what it was really like to build a company from idea to multi‐million. Past Studios have featured Grier Allen (CEO of Boomtown!), Mason Holland (Co‐Founder of Benefitfocus and Chairman of Eclipse Aerospace), Steve Swanson (Founder of Automated Trading Desk who sold the company to Citigroup for 680 million), Anita Zucker (CEO of the Intertech Group and South Carolina's sole billionaire), Steve Case (Co‐Founder of AOL), and Rebecca Ufkes (Owner and President of UEC Electronics).
Entrepreneur Studio with Dick Elliott will take place on March 1st from 5 pm ‐ 7 pm at Harborside East located at 28 Bridgeside Blvd in Mount Pleasant.
